No. A doctor’s referral is unnecessary for treatment with practitioners at Physical Healthcare.
Yes. Private health rebates are available at the time of consultation if you bring your current health insurance card and have the appropriate extra’s option.
An initial physiotherapy appointment includes thorough assessment and treatment of your injury and will take approximately 40 minutes. Subsequent appointments take up to 20 minutes. Podiatry appointments generally take 30 minutes. This may vary depending on procedures required.
Any referrals, x-ray or scan results relating to your injury, pension card or health insurance card.
We regret keeping our patients waiting, therefore arriving late may shorten your treatment time.
Yes. The therapists at Physical Healthcare can treat DVA patients provided you have a current doctor’s referral (12 month expiry).
Yes. If your doctor deems that you are eligible they can complete the necessary paperwork and referral to either physiotherapy or podiatry. This will entitle you to up yo 5 visits per calendar year.
Yes. If you have been injured in a transport accident, the TAC can cover your physiotherapy sessions, no referral is required.
Yes. We can treat work cover patients provided you have a doctor’s work cover certificate indicating referral to physiotherapy and your insurer has accepted liability.
